Powmill

.....Powmill is situated about eight miles south west of Kinross on the A977 at the lower junction of the A823 in central Scotland.
.....Its main claim to fame is that it is the home of the premier meeting place of central Scotland namely
"The Powmill Milk Bar" where people come from far and wide to meet friends, hand over the kids to the ex-wife/husband or just call in for a nice cup of tea.
.....As well as the milk bar Powmill is also home to the famous
"Gartwhinzean Hotel" (which spent a brief period as the 'Whinsmuir Country Inn' but was wisely given it's more familiar name back when the present management took over) where a gourmet meal can be had at lunch or diner (see "Taste of Scotland"Powmill site) amongst the many attractions at the 'Gart', apart from their keen prices, is their "Theme Nights", Ring 00 44 1577 840595 for details.
.....Powmill is one of the luckier small villages of Scotland in as much that it has it's own general store - "Powmill Stores" and if you're passing through, pop in and say hello to 'Scott' who runs it more as a "chat shop" than a business!
.....Just 3 miles up the A823 towards Dunfermline is
'Knockhill Raceways' the "Brands Hatch" of Scotland and there is something going on there seven days a week from club rallies through corporate days out to full blown championship car and bike racing.
